(We are able to accept expressions of interest after this date, however, submissions given in the first round will be given more choice about where they appear in the forum program.)
We would like to hear from people interested in presenting a session at the 2017 Bush Adventure Therapy Forum – CONNECTING. The forum encourages exploration of Bush Adventure Therapy practice in all its forms throughout Australia.
Where possible and appropriate, we encourage presentations to be participatory and experiential.
Presenters should take into account the theme (connecting), and provide explanation or explore in their session, the connection between what they do in their work and how it relates or might relate to therapeutic intent or research outcomes in the field of Bush Adventure Therapy. The intent of this approach is to move away from a focus on program description and to share, explore, debate and build ideas into practice.
Note: on-site internet connection will be available for presentations on request
Sessions may include but are not limited to:
- Panel discussions
- Whole-of-forum presentations
- Experiential workshops
- Small or large group workshops/ discussions / collaborations
- Poster or multi-media
- Powerpoint presentations
- Virtual presentations (if you can’t be there in person but would like to share your work, research or ideas)
- Other forms that can support people to broaden their practice
We welcome poster style presentations from organisations that would like to showcase the work they do and outcomes that they achieve through their work.
We also welcome ideas/practices from ‘outside’ the Adventure Therapy field that could contribute and develop the community as a whole. If you would like any assistance or support in developing your presentation please contact us.
