About Jennifer

Jennifer Andrew works with young people, as a Youth Worker and Bush Adventure therapy Facilitator. Jen is the Operations manager and facilitator with Dooloomai. Dooloomai delivers tailored programs with partner organisations across Tasmania. Jen is currently involved in a coalition developing a program model for young people in Out of Home care.

Jen is inspired by the opportunities intentional outdoor experiences offer people dealing with adversity. Time in nature and connection with others is a powerful tool for fostering wellbeing.

Jen has witnessed participants see themselves anew, get a chance to relax, experience optimism, connect effectively and meaningfully with others, marvel at nature, be invigorated, unplug from technology and urban life, and plug into their own abilities and potential.

Jen brings training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Cultural Awareness, and a lifetime in the bush with others.

Jen has a background in humanities, environmental conservation, adventure tourism, environmental interpretation, and operations management.
