About Mel

Mel has worked in the youth work sector for 20 years, mostly based in Melbourne’s western suburbs and in southern Tasmania, in local government youth services, then worked in non-government mental health organisations as well as outdoor adventure therapy programs. Mel is currently working at Victoria University in Melbourne as a Partnerships Coordinator as well as getting the opportunity to get outdoors and have loads of fun doing a Bachelor of Outdoor Leadership program at VU. Mel has predominately worked alongside supporting vulnerable young people and communities. Mel has a Master’s in Education (VU), a graduate Certificate in International Development (RMIT), a Bachelor of Youth Work (VU), a Graduate Certificate in Education and Training in Outdoor Education (Melb Uni) and an Associate Diploma in Welfare Studies (Latrobe).
